This is a very nice vintage combo set. A mid 60's Harmony H400 3tube amp and a Harmony H802 2 pickup guitar. They work very well together.
The amp is about as simple as it gets. 3 inputs and a volume control. It has the original 8" Jensen special design speaker, 50c5, 12au6 and 35w4 tubes a new professionally installed 3 stage filter cap and a line out. This work was personally done by Andy Fuchs at Fuchs Audio Technology. Check his website for the many famous name artists using his products and expertise. The amp looks like what it is - a 40+ year old rocker. The tolex is in very good condition, the grill cloth shows some stains (a little soap and water might clean it) the speaker has been repaired but we felt it worked fine and didn't need replacement. The cabinet could hold a 10" speaker if you wanted to push more air. The amp sounds great! I turn it to 10 and let the natural bluesy overdrive do all the work. It accepts pedals well. We liked the sound so much that we added an additional output transformer and a 1/4" line out so it can be used with extension cabs. The amp sounds great miked for recording and with line out can be used on stage.
The guitar is a real warrior too. It's a 2 pickup solid body Harmony H802 in better than average condition. There are some nicks and dings that only show that it has been played. This is an active guitar - it doesn't sit in a basement or closet. The pickups are strong and have a good metal bite to them. The neck, tuners, and action are all in good shape. It's well made and a good garage rocker. This one is the original model.
Electric solid body - Sunburst
Production year(s) : 1985-1987 (other years possible, not verified)
Made in japan, two chrome plated pickups, two switches. Trussrod neck, ebonized fingerboard with zero fret and dots. The H802 "original" model has cream plastic tuner bushings.
All in all - this is a way better guitar/amp package than the big box stores could offer. I will include a nice padded gig bag with the guitar.
